philosophy on training

A Working Dog is a Better Dog!

Dogs enjoy working and problem solving.  They excel when they are given a chance to use their brain and make good decisions!

Dogs are happy, calm and well adjusted when their owners give them a job and help them develop their brain learn to think.

Training Equals Brain Work!

When we teach a dog how to master impulse control, we are actually teaching the dog how to think and make decisions.  Training starts with the concept of dogs learning impulse control .

Impulse Control

Once dogs master self control/impulse control by using their brain to control their bodies and actions, they are then able to apply impulse control to behaviors such as jumping, pulling and barking.  They learn how to think and problem solve through consequences.  Dogs naturally understand the concept of consequences as it is an integral part of their communication with each other!
